Almondlicious Locks

This is a basic mix that both smells wonderful and does wondrous things to your hair. Almond oil is a light oil that deeply nourishes and moisturizes the hair, adds lots of shine, helps strength hair, and some say it can also control hair loss and stimulate growth. At the bottom, I have included optional mixtures for different scents/uses.

Ingredients & Supplies

  • ½ cup almond oil
  • 6 tsp vanilla extract (for scent)
  • 1 cup or larger Mason jar

Directions

Mix oils in small Mason jar.

Uses

  • Use in small amount (1 tsp or so) and rub into wet hair evenly as a serum before styling. Although it is light, use sparingly to avoid greasy hair.
  • Use a larger amount and rub into wet hair evenly. Cover with a cap and leave in for 15-30 minutes for conditioning treatment. For deep conditioning, leave for several hours.
  • Pour very small amount in the palm of your hand and rub together. Run hands lightly over surface of hair to give extra shine.

Notes

  • Mixture can be saved for months, with occasional stirring as oils separate.
  • Oils vary in strength, so add in a little at a time, stir it in, and test the scent. Continue until you reach the intensity you are looking for.
