As is probably obvious from the name, I am not a fan of spiders. This is also the understatement of the year. This spray is non-toxic and kid-and-pet-safe. It also has the added benefit of smelling deliciously wonderful! Spiders are repelled by a lot of natural oils that are derived from plants and fruits. A list of suggested oils are listed below the recipes.
As there are oils and detergent in it, it could stain some fabrics so I would recommend testing it on a hidden area. Always add a bit of oil at a time, as oils have varying levels of scent intensity.
Ingredients and Supplies
Recipe #1
- 14 oz (or more) spray bottle
- 10-12 oz water
- squirt of dish soap
- Essential oils (see list below for suggestions)
Recipe #2
- 14 oz (or more) spray bottle
- 10-12 oz water
- 1 part coconut oil
- 1 Part white vinegar
Directions
Cap bottle and shake to blend ingredients
Use
- Spray along windowsills, doorways, and any possible entry point for spiders.
- Spray cobwebs and anywhere spiders have been seen before.
- Spray around bushes, garden, and yard.
